Anecdotes: Throughout my years, I have heard many things about the Grand Theft Auto series, but I have never played it. I heard plenty of things about the games being “immoral,” but to that I say, “Whatever.” I don’t care about foul language, even though I don’t use it. I don’t consider bare female breasts nudity, and it’s rare to see any real nudity in games. The violence is just laughable in these games, but any image that disturbs me I can look away from.

Description: Steal a car and? My comprehension skills are horrible. These games make less and less sense to me as I get to more recent titles.

Positives:

  • I have no idea what the point of any of this is, but I’ll admit it’s a lot of fun to punch people in the streets, run over them with cars, and drive through parks and buildings. None of that should ever be done in real life for any reason, but in a game, it’s great.

Negatives:

  • The map seriously looks like Google Earth. It’s done from straight overhead, which is fine, but getting too close to a building takes the player out of view. I also didn’t find any way of checking the map in game. Whether it doesn’t exist or I just missed it, I don’t know.

Screenshots:

It’s nice of them to provide an arrow to guide me.
Here, I’m crossing a road with NO regard for traffic, just like the people going to my local grocery store.
I really enjoy taking drives through the park.

My Progress: Found the car

Final Opinion: The game seems to be pointless, silly fun. For that alone, I may be overscoring it based on how little I played.

Grade: B
